MIB Explorer uses the leading Java™ SMIv1/v2 MIB compiler technology, that has been continuously developed by AGENT++ since 1998. The used compiler is very robust and excels in accurately extracting a maximum of information from MIB documents. Other products from AGENT++, like MIB Designer and AgenPro also benefit from this technology.
 

SNMP v1/v2c/v3 Stack

MIB Explorer uses for its SNMP protocol operations SNMP4J a really object oriented and extensible Open Source SNMP library for Java.

SNMP4J provides support for the transport procotols UDP, TCP, and TLS. The supported authentication protocols are MD5 and SHA. The supported privacy protocols are DES, 3DES, AES128, AES196*, and AES256*
